Heiston-Strickler House
Built in about 1790 by Abraham Hiestand (grandson of Henrich, son of Jacob, nephew of Daniel Hiestand/Haston) near the South Fork of the Shenandoah River at Bixler Ferry Bridge in Page County, VA. The house is located on the land that Henrich Hiestand purchased in 1743 and the land where Daniel Hiestand/Haston was probably born and reared. Sold in about 1798 to Daniel Strickler and has remained in the Strickler family since that time. Facebook Wikipedia Trip Advisor National Register of Historic Places Photos taken in October 2016.
